Saturday-Sunday, August 8-9, 2015. Gravenstein Apple Fair, Ragle Ranch Park, Sebastopol, CA. We'll be pouring our ciders for the fourth year at this local treasure of a festival, celebrating Sonoma County rich apple heritage. For the second year there will be a bona fide cider tent, with several other local producers pouring. Explore and enjoy what our local apples can do, how cider has a definite sense of place and reflects the philosophies and personalities of their maker. Fun for all ages, with great food, live music, games, rides, vendors, workshops, and of course, everything Gravenstein!

Throwdown of 6 California ciders at the Bay Grape wine shop (aka Bay Apple, at least for the night, until I complete my mission to make them all cider, all the time!). Love this place. Convivial, low-key, fabulously curated, and owners Josiah and Stevie are some of the loveliest, coolest people around. I’ll be there. There will be no survivors (of cider indifference, that is—you will be converted)!

Besides being an staunch advocate and champion of Sonoma County farmers and producers, Brian Howlett is a masterful artist, painter, and photographer. Ellen will be pouring our ciders at the opening reception of his works at Santa Rosa City Hall. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 7 p.m. "Foraged in Sonoma: James Beard House Dinner," with Marianna Gardenhire and Daniel Kedan of Backyard, James Beard House, NYC. At Sonoma County’s Backyard, husband-and-wife chefs Daniel Kedan and Marianna Gardenhire—who met while working at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc and Bouchon—cook only with ingredients grown, raised, or line-caught locally. The night’s menu will be a beautiful expression of foraged Northern California cuisine paired with Sonoma County cider (including ours!), beers, and wines.

We'll be pouring our ciders for the second year at this annual fundraiser for the Farm Trail's Gravenstein Apple Fair. Cider, beer, and cheese receptions starts at 5:30, followed by a fabulous local BBQ dinner by Chefs Daniel Kedan & Marianna Gardenhire. Live music and silent auction follow. Put on our dancing boots!

The epicenter of California's lively artisanal cheese movement, the Sonoma–Marin Cheese Trail is home to 22,000 acres used to produce almost 100 different handmade cow, sheep, goat and water buffalo milk cheeses. Join cheese makers from Pt. Reyes Farmstead Cheese Companyand Pugs Leap Cheese at White Whale Farm, in conversation with Vivien Straus of the Sonoma–Marin Cheese Trail Map and Civil Eats’ Naomi Starkman, for a discussion on their craft and cultural heritage, the animals they raise and the beautiful, bountiful land on which they depend. Finish the evening with a tasting of their luscious handiwork, accompanied by wine from Justice Grace Vineyard and Hobo Wine Company, cider from Tilted Shed Ciderworks and other nibbles from Bi-Rite Market.

Over 150 ciders from 90 producers, including Tilted Shed, will be pouring at this massive grand tasting at the Presidio in San Francisco. Sunday, April 26, 2015, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., VIP Cidery Tour, departs from and returns to the Ferry Building, San Francisco. We are partnering with North Bay Brewery Tours and our Sonoma County cider colleagues Devoto Orchards Cider and Sonoma Cider for a VIP tasting and tour experience. The tour includes a catered lunch, tour and tastings of Sonoma Cider in Healdsburg, our cidery in Windsor, and the organic heirloom orchard at Devoto Orchards in Sebastopol. We released the 2012 harvest's Graviva! Semidry Cider at the exciting Cider Bar series. Chef Martin prepared special appetizers at the Cider Bar before the café started serving its popular Gypsy Nights dinners at 5:30.

CiderDays is the premier U.S. festival for all things related to craft cider. We poured our ciders at the legendary Cider Salon tasting. Such an honor to be in the same place as the pioneers of the U.S. craft cider revival.

We poured tastings of our ciders at the year's most important Slow Food event in Northern California. Speakers included Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini and Chez Panisse & Edible Schoolyard founder Alice Waters. Carlo said our Graviva! Semidry Cider was "fantastico"! We think he's fantastic, too!

Tilted Shed Ciderworks launched its inaugural ciders at the Gravenstein Apple Fair, an annual festival celebrating Sebastopol’s famed but fading apple. We poured tastings and glasses of our ciders in the wine tent, to a clamoring audience. Next year, a cider tent?!
Aug. 11, 2012: Chosen Spot #3 Dinner, Luther Burbank Home & Gardens, Santa Rosa, CA
Hardcore Farm to Face’s Chef John Lyle featured Lost Orchard Dry Cider with his cheese course at this sold-out pop-up dinner, which raised funds for the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens. The cider paired wonderfully with the excellent cheese from local purveyors Vella Cheese Company and Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery.
